What the hell is this thing? It looks like a butterfly, flies like a bee. Maybe Moth-hamid Ali?

05/26/2009

What can I say, I love Basil. Not only do we have some growing outside in our lil herb garden, we're growing some from seed on our windowsill!

05/25/2009

We've got tulips growing everywhere! This one's ready to burst open any day now.

05/24/2009

This is the second coat of white. We ran out of time and will have to do a 3rd next weekend.
After that's done we just have to get rid of the purple trim around the the outside of the house, the giant purple garage door, the purple counter-tops and the purple floor in the kitchen. Luckily the last owners got rid of the purple walls.
Honestly, who would want their ENTIRE house the color of sexual frustration?

05/23/2009

Bye-bye Purple! We painted our fence this week end! Finally getting rid of that ugly purple!

05/22/2009

I may complain about it's crapp macro setting and it's lack of manual settings . . . But our new camera does something most others don't . . . It takes underwater photos!

I think a well made toasted tomato sandwich, is a perfect sandwich. A blend of sweet, tart, soft and crunchy. Mmmmm. I made this one with local tomatoes and fresh bread from the farmers market.

05/20/2009

This is me getting fat. Nothing happening today. Went out to get a lottery ticket 'cause 6/49 is up to 43 mill! Feelin' lucky.

05/19/2009

Because of the rotten weather we had to move all our plants indoors. This used to be my office, now it's a place for plants to go and die.

05/18/2009

Hali seemed to be the only one enjoying the snow after a few days of nice weather. The day before the temp was in the 20's. can yo believe this place?

05/17/2009

You get a two-for this time. I wanted to post this top one, but I couldn't resist posting the second one two, just to show you what a beautiful day it was, compared to the day after . . .

05/16/2009

We went to the first Farmers Market of the year last weekend. Whoo-hoo! We got fresh veggies, blueberry honey, and fresh baked bread! I can't wait for this weekend to come!

05/15/2009

Zero Gauge! Finally made it! My folks won't be too impressed, and my wife doesn't like these tunnels, But I love it! My baby got me a beautiful pair of glass tusks for Xmas and I can finally wear them!

05/14/2009

I helped out with the 2D and 3D competition at Skills Canada in Edmonton this year. I was really really impressed! Some of their stuff was really awesome! I wish I had had an animation course in high school.

05/13/2009

One of the joys of owning a female dog. Once we finally got (what we thought) was our last snow, we fertilized and seeded. I'll post more pics to show what the yard looks like after some more TLC.

05/12/2009

I went with Robin to one of her court points, and took the dog for a walk. Quite the difference between this trip to Rochon Sands and the last. Spring was everywhere; I saw trees budding, tulips sprouting, and prairie-dogs running around, not to mention more of those ginormous Rabbits.

05/11/2009

I like this one. Kind of "The Birth of a Pine-cone", there's this tree in the park that looks like an evergreen, but it looses it's needles in the winter. Now that it's spring time, there's all these little cone and needle sprouts all over it.

05/10/2009

Chomp! Yes, another dog picture. I know about Crazy Cat Ladies, but is there such a thing as Crazy Dog Gentlemen?

05/09/2009

We had ppl over to play ROCKBAND2 on the weekend! Not the greatest photo, but the best one out of the bunch. It is soooo much fun! When we first got it I started getting blisters on my hands where I used to, when I used to actually play the drums.

05/08/2009

Hali and I went to the park up the street again for a little game of fetch. We got her some tennis balls that squeak when she chews 'em. We had 5 of them and the squeak is busted in all of them. The ppl who live in the houses around the park are probably glad.

Our Little Herb Garden

I love summer! Planting fresh herbs is one of my favorite things about spring. I know that as soon as they get big enough we'll have fantastic spices just steps away. this year we planted Oregano, Savory, Rosemary, Cilantro, Curry, and Basil . . . Mmmm Margarita pizza . . .

05/05/2009

Took Hali to the dog park again! She loves the river!

03/03/2009

We started doing our gardening this week. I saw this plant at Costco and I had to get it! It's called Columbine or Aquilegia Vulgaris. It looks like there are tentacles sprouting from the back of the flower!

04/30/2009

One of our neighbors left their sprinkler on in their front yard overnight. It was still getting pretty cold at night here, so they woke up to this in the morning.

04/26/2009

I love taking pictures of water drops on things. You can see the way the drops magnify things, like the fabric of the cushions on our patio set. I wish I had a good camera with a real macro lens, sigh, someday.

04/24/2009

I took pics of all my life drawing stuff to post on my website. I didn't take any other photos that day so I guess I'm posting this.
