Yay! Mail!

Finally

F-ing Canada post!

We hadn't recieved any mail for about 2 months when I took this pic. We had put a hold on our mail when we went down south to get married and they never started it up again. I went down to the main office 3 or 4 times, and only when I wrote a nasty Email to their complait dept did it start comeing again. This is what I saw every day when I went to get the mail, no bills, no paycheques, nothing.

Wine

We had a couple ppl over the other night and had a bit of wine. A Shiraz from South Africa, and a Muscat from Italy. They were both very good, but the Muscat was very sweet, and sparkling, which we didn't expect. We were looking for a Nova Scotian Muscat when we bought this one. If any one is coming for a visit, a nice Nova Scotian Muscat would be a great birthday/xmas/housewarming/no-special occasion gift.

Awwwww

Another one of those blogs where ppl write about how cute their animals are . . . This is the closest I've ever seen these ttwo, they're actually touching. It'll probably never happen again, and I didn't take any pictures that day so . . .

Ripples

I always liked the little ripples made in snow drifts.

The date on my camera got screwed up so I'm not sure when exactly this and the next few posts/pics were taken.

Stupid printer.

So I haven't uploaded any pics lately, and this time it's really not because I've been slacking off.

We recently bought an epson photo printer, to print off some of our wedding photos. Once I installed the drivers, my computer no longer registers our digital camera.

I've tried a few things, but I'm reaching the end of a contract so things have gotten really hectic. Once things calm down I'll take a better look, and maybe write a few nasty letters.

I can't help but think that this is somehow done on purpose to force you to use the printer only, or buy a compatable camera. Although it might just be paranoia.

Nothing from today. But I took this one yesterday. I've got to go somewhere else besides the park by our house at lunch. I'm running out of things to take pictures of.

Snowman

The snow out here is usually not packable enough to make a snowball, but today it was! I didn't really have time to make a regular sized snowman, so I made a lil one and tried some forced perspective. I don't think this camera has any kind of manual settings, so I couldn't get the aperture right. I'll have to take a look at the manual again.

Bibimbap

Yum! I made Bibimbap tonight. It's soooooo good. It's a lot of work but so worth it.

I've got to figure a way around using the flash.

This is one of the reasons I hate this province. I know there are lazy people all across Canada, but there seems to be an abnormal amount here. Maybe it's the abundance of jobs avalable that create this "Why should I make an effort" attitude, but things like common courtesy, along with customer service and pride in your work, are practically non-existant. Anyway, here's a shot of a bunch of abandoned carts nest to an empty cart corral.

I went with Robin in the morning to Stettler, one of the little towns she sometimes has court in. I usually take Hali for a walk in the nearest Provincial Park when I go. This time it was Rochon Sands. It was very pretty, but it was so cold I couldn't feel my fingers when I tried to take the camera out. This is one of the very few shots I took that day, my reflection in SUV's window, all bundled up.

One thing I really like about Red Deer is that almost every neigbourhood has it's own little rink in the winter. I sometimes bring Hali to ours a t lunce to let her slip and slide around, she loves it!
