So I didn't do much of anything today. I have sooooooo much work today that my ass has fallen asleep from sitting on it all day in front of this damn computer.

Pig Roast!

We went to a friend of ours' 50th B-day bash. It was a pig roast. Yumm!

Playin around

Just playing around with depth of field and the macro setting. Hali was in the background of every shot but as soon as I got the camera set up she moved. There's not enough color in this one either. I'll post another one if I ever get it right.

Jebus?

Okay, so this isn't my favorite of the pics I took today, but I had to post this one. Anyone see a face? Beside the fungus? Maybe it's Jesus. Angry Jesus. I wonder what he's so pissed off about? So it doesn't look like jesus, maybe an Anime character or something?

Life Drawing!

Yay! I went to my first life drawing class today. It was awesome! I'm really rusty (it has been around 5 or 6 years) but I had a lot of fun. I really need to loosen up and relax. I was clenching my teeth so hard I got a huge headache by the time I was done. I guess it's better than my other concentration face: "The Mouth-Breather"

Macro kinda sucks.

So the macro settings on our new camera kinda sucks. It has a really hard time focusing, and there is a lot of noise in the picture. Sorry to subject you to the camera tests, but I really didn't do much today. I love macro photography, so as I get better at using the camera, and better at photography in general, you're probably gonna be subjected to a lot more of it.

New camera!!!!!

I convinced Robin to let us get a new point and shoot! It's an 8mp (F-you megapixel race), waterproof, Olympus Stylus 850SW. It's got a lot more features than our old point and shoot, and a ton of dummy settings. I think I might be able to do some HDR photos! Woot!

Next comes the DSLR.

Justin!

Our friend Justin came for a visit this weekend. It was nice to see him again. Robin and I, and him and his wife became good friends while we were all stuck in St. Paul Alberta. I think they're probably the only part of that place that we miss.

Late again, and I forgot my camera. (Sat. Feb. 14th)

I took Hali to the Heritage Ranch park yesterday, and I forgot the camera. There was a lot of nice scenery. I'm pretty pissed at myself for forgetting, but I imagine I'll be back.

It was pretty tiring. I only walked in for about half an hour before I had to turn around and head back, otherwise I would have been late to pick up Robin at dance class. On my way back I decided to try a different route and ended up having to run for about 20 minutes to try to get back to the car on time. I was late of course and very very tired. Hali pretty much slept the rest of the day. Here she is in bed looking totally un-impressed with having her picture taken.

Happy Fri the 13th!

I should have tried to find something that would fit with the theme of Friday the 13th, but I didn't realize that it was Friday the 13th untill a few minutes ago. Oh well.

There was some frost on some of the trees when I took Hali for her walk today, I thought it looked kinda neat.

Sat Feb 12th, Late

I had planned on taking a pic of the fireplace once I finished putting it together last night. But by the time I was done I had to call it a night. Maybe I was tired because it was getting late, or maybe it was the 6 or 8 drinks I had before putting the damn thing together. Lets just pretend I posted this yesterday k?

I'm up to a 4 gauge now! I'm going up a step every month, so it'll be 2 more months till I'm where I wanna be!
