Yep, that's snow. October 8th, and there is snow on the ground.

Hali seemed to be the only one enjoying the snow after a few days of nice weather. The day before the temp was in the 20's. can yo believe this place?

Ripples

I always liked the little ripples made in snow drifts.

The date on my camera got screwed up so I'm not sure when exactly this and the next few posts/pics were taken.

Big Sky Country

Before we left, a few people said that the prairies was "Big Sky Country." I can see why.

Red Deer isn't as bad as some of the places I've seen in Alberta, but at times it seems pretty damn flat.

This is the field I try to take Hali to at lunch when it's not too cold. It's a pretty good idea, every neighbourhood (sp?) has at least one of these little parks, usually with a playground, soccer field, and/or basketball court.

They just put up a sign saying that this one could eventually be a catholic school.

Snow!

Geez, this is harder than I thought. I don't really do much.

It snowed all last night and today. Hali really likes the snow so I always shovel all the snow from the back patio in one spot to give her a good pile to play in.

Evergreen

It finally warmed up enough to take the dog to the park today. It felt fantastic to get outside!
