A friend of ours took a trip to Halifax last week. I asked him to go to Strange Adventures for me and pick up a copy of The War at Ellsmere by my friend Faith Erin Hicks. Sigh, I miss home.

No, He's not dead. I let Maceo come out back with me and the dog while I cleaned up the yard a bit since most of the snow melted. I think this is the first time we've had a yard for him to be in. He was rolling around in ecstasy, getting full of grass, dirt, and probably snow mold.

It has been so nice lately that taking the dog for a walk is actually fun! Hali gets so excited when Robin comes with us.

It was sunny and nice, then all of a sudden it started to hail. not little balls of ice, they looked like tiny snowballs.

Since we moved to Alberta I've been on the hunt for a decent Donair, a little taste of home in this alien province. This one from King (not "King of . . .") Donair, was pretty damn good! They got the tase right (meat spicy, sauce sweet) but the texture was a bit spongy. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being Ranch Dressing, 10 being Haligoinian) I'd give this an 8 1/2.

Wow, it's been a while. This is friggin' hard! especially when you don't really do anything. I saw a woodpecker when I went for a walk one day. I really need a decent camera, not just a point and shoot.
